Karlee's Gotcha Day #4

Yes, four years ago, we were in Taiwan! To celebrate, we had a Gotcha Day party at school. I read one of our favorite books, we shared pictures that Karlee had chosen and we had a cake. The children seemed very interested and Karlee was quite excited!

Nutcracker 2008

What a weekend! Kalie was in the Nutcracker with the Huntsville Ballet this year. She was one of Clara's friends- aka the party scene. The entire experience was fabulous and Kalie hasn't stopped dancing yet. I tried to narrow down the pictures. Thank you to our family and friends who came and supported her. It meant the world to her!!

Kalie with her doll before the first performance. (There were seven)
What do you do between shows? Everyone gets their hair in rollers and plays games on the computer...
And drink a little white chocolate mocha from Starbucks...
Kalie was cold so I love her get-up- pj pants, northface jacket and costume!
For all of you who know the trouble we have with curling her hair- it had to be in ringlets for all shows- we followed a few tricks they shared and she had hair like this the entire time! It was beautiful!
Kalie with her stage "family"
Sorry this one is so blury- but they got to sign autographs after both school shows. This was HUGE!! Not just for the performers but the students as well!

Kalie dances with some sweet sweet girls. Above are some of her "party girl" friends.
Thanks Eloise (and Leslie) for coming!Jason, Shelley and Mal Mal came from Nashville!

Our very special Miss Emily (with her husband Chad and baby Keller) as Kate and Karlee call him. Thank you!!!

Amy came too!

Kalie and mommy before one of the performances. Kalie and I went up on Wednesday and stayed the whole time. Karlee, Kate and Drew came up Friday evening. We had a good time together.

CC, Papa and Grandmother came as well

Aunt Barbara and Kirt came- thank you!

And last but certainly not least- Kalie with Mr. Phil Otto- Artistic Director of the Huntsville Ballet. This man is fabulous and Kalie adores him as her teacher!

It's Beginning to Look alot Like Christmas

putting up the Christmas tree- Bella helping Drew...

hey- you missed an ornament WAAAYYYY up here.... (Yes, kittens and Christmas trees are not a good combination- ha!)
some of my students- end of the semester. I love these students!

Aki loves ice cream like nobody's business. I made the students homemade ice cream to experience the American tradition- they LOVED it!

Our girls had their Christmas program- a colonial/present day mix. They did a great job. Karlee, Kalie, Emma and Khloe

Maela in the Hospital

My sweet Maela Moo ended up having to go to the hospital for pneumonia. She did not like that oxygen. She is home and now and doing well.

ROLLLLL TIDE!!!

Yes, I said it- Roll Tide... We have enjoyed several Bama games with our friends David and Leslie and their children. This was Bama vs. Auburn. We had a great time. I will say that under the Bama shirt was my Vols shirt- closest to my heart of course!

Good southern children- learning to love SEC football early! Karlee, Ford, Henry, Kate, Eloise and Kalie

Kate- what else do i say?

THANKSGIVING HOLIDAYS

About one month ago, Karlee told me she wanted to get her ears pierced before Thanksgiving. The deal was that she had to give up the pacifier for one month (habit's broken). She gave it to us and never had any problems. The night before Thanksgiving we found ourselves in Walmart of all places and here she is!!

waiting for them to do it

after the fact, the tears came. but not for long...
she is so excited about her ears! she picked out the earrings- pink hearts.
our family

sweet kate

i love karlee's smile

our kalie is growing up
Drew's family has an annual game of football.
we meet at a church for drew's family because we are so big. somehow, a big karaoke extravaganza began. Drew and I are dancing to Love Train I think.

Drew, Dave and Daniel singing something- Drew has the air guitar down to an art...

more Love Train

we surprised Drew with the Achy Breaky Heart as a joke- so he did more dancing than singing- ha! This ended up as a Karaoke night quite late..... We had a great time visiting with family.

Kalie and I had our annual shopping trip. She and Amy went out at 4 am! My mom and I came at 6 am! We had a great time!

We are so thankful for the blessings of this year.

See how Bella likes to be outside??? (HA HA HA)

Kate likes to choose her own outfits for ballet and I let her mainly to shock Amy who gets to teach her! ha! This day she chose pink leggings, a purple leotard, striped sweater and a ballet skirt that needed to stay wadded up as you see in the picture.

Oh my sister is really dark in the picture but about 12 of us ladies went to see Twilight on opening night. It was great and yes, I LOVE the Twilight series!

Karlee and Kalie had a Thanksgiving Luncheon at school.
