I decided to go with a little pink since we are waiting for Kate and we have Kalie and Karlee. All the cold weather blah inspired me to add some color where I can! We are still waiting to hear something, anything. I will post as soon as I do!

MORE PICTURES OF OUR KATE

As I was sitting at the desk looking at the rain pour, I was longing to hold my girls. I wanted all 3 here at home with me so we could cuddle on the bed with a big blanket, some hot chocolate and watch a movie or play games- anyway, I checked our email and there were 3 new photos of Kate. She is such a cutie and looks happy. I am grateful for this gift today.

Kate Elizabeth LiXin-explained
Let me explain how we named her. Each of our children are named very carefully. Kate is simply one of my favorite names. Drew agrees and the girls like it too. We always knew she would be Kate. Elizabeth is after my middle sister. Andrea's middle name is Beth. LiXin is a Chinese name we have chosen for her- it means beautiful heart. Need I say more? We came up with the final decision on her name the night before we got the call- interesting huh?!?- No, just another God thing!

Kate Update Already!!!
Our agency surprised us today with an update on Kate. We were already excited knowing our paperwork went to China today but then to find out more about our little treasure was so wonderful! She weighs about 20 pounds and is 30 inches tall. She has 10 teeth. She has been moved to foster care and apparently had surgery in December. We are trying to find out more on this. She enjoys music, playing outside and gets along well with other children. We look forward to meeting her and watching her become a little sister and our daughter. Hang on Kate, we are trying to get there!!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kate Elizabeth LiXin
At 9:15 am on January 9, 2006, I got a call that would once again change our lives forever. Karla had a little girl with VSD on the list. She was born May 19, 2004 and resides in an orphanage in Yulin City, Guangxi, China. She is 7 months younger than Karlee!!! (This is the closest I can get to twins don't you think????) I called Drew and we got on line together while on the phone and clicked at the same time to see her pictures. The one above is the picture that stole our hearts. She is beautiful and even has Kalie and Karlee's little mouth!! Isn't God amazing?!?!? Our prayer is that we will be with her by her 2nd birthday. Big sisters are excited as well! Karlee just looks at the photos and says "ooohhh baby kate" and Kalie is glowing from ear to ear. We celebrated tonight with delicious chinese food!!

Still Waiting
People are so kind to ask us where we are in the process of bringing home Kate. Well, we are still waiting for her referral. So, until that day comes, we wait (and unpack boxes and more boxes and fix up rooms, etc.......)

SURPRISE!!

Kalie's Gift
Kalie has wanted a miniature schnauzer for quite some time and she has had it named Rooby forever. Well, this Christmas, little Rooby came into our family and stole Kalie's heart (and ours too) immediately. They are big buddies, they sleep together and love to play. Actually, Rooby is most happy in Kalie's arms. I had to post a couple of pictures.
