These are two of our best, dearest and longest friends- Mike and Anita. Mike leaves in the morning for his second deployment to Iraq. We got to get together for a little while this evening for coffee before he leaves. Please pray for this family over the months ahead. They have three teenage children. Mike and Anita have been such inspiration and encouragement for us and we love them dearly. These are our heros and we salute and honor them both!

"May I recommend you title it Psalm 91." We too have friends who are or have served in Iraq. We choose to lay their fate at the feet of our Lord Jesus by praying Psalm 91 over them. One of our dearest friends was a blackhawk helicopter pilot whose unit logged over 16000 hours in 11 months. Each mission, they prayed Psalm 91 and claimed the protection of God over themselves. After 11 months, he came home completely unharmed. Not only were there no casualties in his unit, but not even a single bullet hole in a single helicopter! And oh, btw, their Chinese born daughter is one of Lily's best friends! You;ve probably seen her picture on our blog several times.
