Camping Weekend

For Kalie's 10th birthday, we told Kalie we would take her somewhere overnight- she could choose the place. She chose an overnight camping trip with some rigorous hiking. So, this past Friday, we drove down to Sipsey Wilderness. After a great night of camping, we hiked in Sipsey- and let me tell you- if you need a rugged place to hike, camp- whatever- that place is AWESOME! We had a great time and it was a blessing to have some time alone with Kalie. sorry for the real close-up- that's us holding her camera trying to get the 3 of us together.

Kalie and Drew At the campsite, there was this bus parked and obviously used as a camper. We never saw people, but the site was hilarious. The next morning, we woke up and Kalie went out and found these berry pieces in our camp chairs. Each chair had a pile of these berries in it. Obviously, we shared our chairs with a racoon family and didn't realize it that night! It was so funny imagining this family of racoons talking around our campfire, sitting in our chairs eating berries!

We climbed the bluffs in Sipsey

The big tree had fallen across the creek and we climbed/walked across it.

It got pretty high!! ha!
Can anyone guess what Drew is doing?????
