Happy Memorial Day

What a fun day! Actually, we have had a fun weekend! With friends, cousins, etc. we have brought in summer with a bang! Yesterday, We got together with Drew's family because his older brother and family were in town. We enjoyed getting to visit with everyone. Also, Drew sang at a Memorial Day service at this little church and Karlee said she wanted to help daddy. So, he took her up on the stage and held her while he sang. She sang "America" out one time but that was it. I tell you though, it will grab your heartstrings when you watch that little Chinese daughter waving her American flag in her daddy's arms while he sings God Bless America. WOW! How grateful we are to live in a free country and to know that our 3 girls are truly free. These patriotic holidays are my favorites and I am humbled by the ultimate sacrifice that so many men and women have gave over the years. So, to any veteran reading this, our family salutes you and thanks God for you and prays blessings over you! Thank you for giving of yourselves so that all of us are free.
Today, we had 3 families over. Katie Lin came home from China two months after we came home with Karlee. This was the first time that they had gotten to play together and they had so much fun! It was so sweet watching them. Katie Lin has two brothers Ben and Drew. Ben was here today too and he is so good with Katie Lin. He is Kalie's age and they all played and had fun. Next is Sarah who was on the same waiting list as Kate and she came home about 2 weeks before we got Kate. Sarah also has an older sister that is Kalie's age and they have hit it off as well. Then, the Green family came and they are waiting to travel in the next few weeks for their precious Lillie Grace. She also was on the same list as Sarah and Kate. We met them through our adoption fair and they have become dear friends. They have a son, Austin, who is going to be an awesome big brother. He played with all the little ones so sweetly and they loved him!
