5 Hours from Meeting KATE!

Well, our family actually slept past 3:30 AM for the first time since being here- we made it to 5:15!! YEA!!! Now, its 6:00 am, Kalie and Karlee are having a pre-breakfast snack because the restaurant doesn't open until 7. Plus, Karlee does not like the food here. Its been so funny- she has eaten little and for those of you who know our Karlee, eating is a hobby for her! This girl is ready for some french fries!
It is only 5 hours until we meet our Kate. She is probably getting ready to leave Yulin City- what a journey for her. What is she feeling right now? Confusion, fear, tired? As she makes this journey, little does she know what awaits her. And what are we in this hotel room feeling right now? Anxious, excited- we wonder how she will respond to each of us? What does she look like? Is she quiet? Is she funny? Will she like to play babies and dress up? Kalie wonders how to be a big sister to two. We have assured her she will do great. Karlee just wants to PLAY with KATE!!! We have learned that most of Guangxi is farming with some factories in the bigger cities. We have also learned that the food here is spicy- I hope I have some tobasco sauce in our refridgerator. ha!
Drew prayed the sweetest prayer for our new daughter last night. She will hear a precious name today for the first time. May she learn its love and power in her life.
So, we are ready. Our room has bottles, sippy cups, and toys in it- suitcases have been stuffed out of the way as best as possible. And for those of you wondering- it is TWIN beds in here! We have two twin beds (they are a little bigger I think than ours but still twin), a roll away and a "crib" but the crib is being used for baby dolls and toys! ha! Drew and I feel like Ricky and Lucy but we were able to sleep in the same bed okay last night.

Next post we will be introducing someone to all of you. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends- get ready. Kate (Cai Zhi) will be in her forever family very soon now. We feel covered by all the prayers- they truly mean so much. But regardless of the initial responses of the day, we are good. We are okay because we have experienced how better it gets. We love you all and thank you!
